What Is Going On?

Two things are going on right now in the Kingdom of God.  Both are equally important, and unless a person gets a revelation of them, they are going to find themselves left behind.  The first thing that is going on is the Holy Spirit is correcting the Church.  By convicting individuals, the Holy Spirit is making the Church fit to move the Kingdom of God forward.  The other thing that is going on is a rallying of troops.  God wants us to work together as one body to fulfill His calling.  I believe that these two things are key to the next move that God wants to do here in the United States.

Christian means Christ like.  This means that to be called a Christian is to live a life as Christ did.  There is a difference between just being saved and actually being Christ like.  Most people do not have a grasp of the perfect life that Christ lived.  How is a person to be like Jesus if they do not know how he lived?  This is why Pastor Mitch spent several months covering the names of Jesus and trying to get the congregation to understand His life and how He lived.  The methods and order in which we are being taught is intentional, and it is going to be difficult to move on without getting a full understanding in an area.  If you have not gotten a revelation of the life of Christ yet, I would strongly suggest that you go back to it until you do.  Read and meditate on the book of Mathew and ask the Holy Ghost to help you understand the life of Jesus.

Once a person begins modeling their life after Christ (2 Peter 1:5), others will begin to see the blessings on their lives.  This will spark a natural curiosity which will draw them in.  Once drawn in, it is our responsibility to give God the glory so that He can begin to do with them what He did with us.  By modeling ourselves after Christ and allowing Him to perfect us, we will be on our way to Mount Zion as a body.  Much like the military trains everyone the same for a common goal, the body of Christ must be trained with the same goal in mind.  As it currently stands, God’s people do not agree on how people are to be trained, how people are to live, how people are to worship, ect.  With that said, there is no way that we have the same goal in mind.  The only concept that Christians generally agree on is that accepting Jesus is the way to God, but there is no consensus on how to live or how to have a relationship with the Father.  Jesus was our example of how we are to reside on Earth.  By actually learning how He lived his life, we too can have the same relationship with the Father, and as a result of that relationship, we will have the same goals that he does.

In Matthew 6:31 we are instructed to seek the Kingdom of God first.  By pursuing the righteousness of Christ and working together to pursue the desires of God, Jesus will shine through us so that the Jewish nation will be awakened to the truth.  What many do not understand is that the Jewish nation takes their beliefs very seriously.  They are diligent to learn the Torah, and many spend their lives preparing themselves for the coming of Christ.  There is no way they are going to follow Christians if we continue to fit God into a time slot and only call on Him when the shovel we dug our hole with breaks.  We are called to be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.  This means that we are to be leaders, not living day to day wondering what our purpose is.  If we are to lead God’s chosen people into righteousness, we need to first seek the path of righteousness both as individuals and as a body.  If the Jews were to realize the Truth today, do you think they would be interested in joining Christians?  No, all they are going to do is split, but if the Christians have set themselves apart from the rest of the world as we are called to do, the Jewish people will see God in our lives and they will want what we have.

Prayer Focus for
the Week of 11-6-13

O God, I look unto the hills from where my help comes. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Without You I can do nothing!
Holy Father, please forgive me for being double-minded and speaking contrary to Your Word. Teach me how to think like You and follow Your ways.
You said that Your Word does not come back to You without producing results. When I speak Your Word, I believe it will accomplish that which pleases You, and Your Word will prosper in the thing it is sent. I let the Your Word dwell in me richly. He who began a good work in me will continue until the day of Christ.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Focus For The Week of 8-25-13

O Lord God, great is Your faithfulness.  Even when things in the world don’t look or sound good, I can still find hope and expectation in Your Word.  I remember how merciful You have been to me in the past and I rejoice that Your mercy is renewed each morning.  Your faithfulness is truly great!

My soul says, the Lord is my portion and I will hope in Him.  The Lord is good to those who wait for Him and seek Him.  I hope and quietly wait upon the salvation of the Lord.

Lord, I wait for You.  My expectation and hope are in You.  As I obediently make the changes You show me, my strength and power are renewed.  I lift up my wings like an eagle and soar closer and closer to You.  When I walk or run, I don’t get weary or tired and faint.

I only desire to seek after You and forever be in Your presence all the days of my life.  There I can look upon Your beauty and meditate and inquire in Your temple and You will always answer me.

Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for it is truly great!  In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Focus for the Week of 8-18-13

Father, Your Word says that if I confess my sins, You will forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Help me to receive my forgiveness for past and present sins.  Help me to forgive myself.

When I keep it all inside, my bones waste away through my daylong groans.  For day and night, Your hand [of displeasure] is heavy upon me; all the juices of my life dry up.  I acknowledge my sin to You, Lord, and my iniquity I will no longer hide.

Lord God, I am blessed, for You have forgiven my transgressions – You have covered my sins.  I am blessed, for You will never count my sins against me.  You, Father, are holding nothing against me and You’re not holding anything back from me.  Halleluiah!

Father, You chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and without blame before You in love.  In Jesus I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of my sins according to the riches of Your grace.

Lord, I have received Your Son Jesus, I believe in His name, and He has given me the right to become a son of God.  I acknowledge You, Lord, as my Father.  Thank You for forgiving me and absolving me of all guilt.  I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of my testimony.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for the Week of August 4th

O Lord, I give You thanks and call upon Your name.  I will tell people who You are and share with them what You've done for me.  I sing praises to You and glorify Your holy name.

I seek Your strength and continually seek Your face Lord, and my heart rejoices.  I remember all the marvelous works and wonders You have done, and Your spoken judgments.  You are Lord our God, and Your judgments are in all the earth.  As an heir and chosen one, I will always be mindful of Your covenant, Your Word, which You commanded to a thousand generations.

Father, those around me, believers and unbelievers, will hear and see that I love You - that You are a great God and greatly to be praised.  You, Lord, made the heavens and are to be reverently and worshipfully feared above all gods.  Glory and honor are in Your presence.  Strength and gladness are in Your place.  I give unto You, Lord, glory and strength.

I offer myself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, God, which is my reasonable service.  I am not conformed to this world, but am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I glorify and worship You, Lord in the beauty of holiness.  All the earth will reverently fear and worship You, and the world will be stable, it will be unmoved, unshakable!  Men of all nations will say, “The Lord reigns”!  All of heaven and earth will be glad, and shall worship and praise You.  Halleluiah!

I give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

1 Chronicles 16:8-15, 23-34 various translations
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

Prayer For The Week of July 28th

Father God, I will bless You and praise You with my mouth at all times.  I called on You in the day of trouble and You delivered me.  I shall honor and glorify You.  Thank You, Father, for delivering me out of the control and dominion of darkness and transferring me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love.  I will confess and praise You, O Lord my God, with my whole (united) heart; and I will glorify Your name forevermore.

Lord, I receive and develop the gifts according to the grace given to me.  My life will lovingly express truth in all things.  I will grow up in every way and in all things in Christ, Who is the Head.  Whatever I say or do, I do in the name of the Lord Yeshua (Jesus), giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  Whatever my task may be, I work at it heartily as something done for the Lord and not for men.  To God the Father be all glory and honor and praise.  Amen.
